The official Genshiken homepage currently lists an announcement of a second Genshiken television series. Currently, it is unknown if the title is a continuation of the original television, or last year's OVA. Genshiken's second season is set to premiere in fall of 2007.

Trading card company Upper Deck has been revealed to be the master licensor for Kiba. Currently, no release details have been announced, nor have merchandising plans been revealed.
