The official website for Gosho Aoyama's Detective Conan (Case Closed) manga announced that Rikiya Koyama will replace Akira Kamiya as the voice of Detective Kogoro Mori in the long-running anime series.

Kamiya announced that he would be leaving the role on September 18. He played the character's part since January 8, 1996 when the anime debuted on Yomiuri TV.

Koyama is a veteran actor who provided roles in a number of anime series, including Soul Eater and Hajime no Ippo.

FUNimation currently holds the domestic rights to the Detective Conan anime. They released season 5 on DVD in May.
