Big Apple Anime Fest 2002 will be presenting a sneak preview of Dreamworks' first anime acquistion, Millenium Actress, on Saturday, August 31st at 7:30pm in the Virgin Megastore in Times Square. Producer Taro Maki will be hosting a Q&A session following the film.

Millennium Actress debuted at the 2001 Fantasia Film Festival, where it won the awards of Best Animated Film and Ground Breaking in Artist Acheivement. Directed by Satoshi Kon, Millenium Actress follows the story of a film director who is hired to make a documentery about a legendary actress who vanished from limelight 30 years ago. His work leads to his passion of unraveling the mystery behind her life.
