After two long years of waiting, Toycom has finally put a release date on their transforming Escaflowne action figure. Based on the Vision of Escaflowne series of anime and film, the figure will be sculpted in the likeness of the dragon armor Escaflowne. The figure itself will feature thirteen points of articulation, which are located in the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. While this alone seems impressive, the biggest feature has yet to be revealed. The figure actually transforms from Dragon Armor to an actual dragon. In Armor mode, the figure stands at 8 inches tall. In Dragon mode, the figure measures fourteen inches from nose to tail. Toycom hopes to ship the Escaflowne figure in November with a suggested retail price of $59.99. Preorders are advised, as this figure will see a very limited release.
