FUNimation Awards, AIC Announcments, and Sin Rereleases Ahead
ADV has announced that it will be releasing a special edition of its animated feature. Sin. The special edition will include an English 5.1 track, a Japanese 2.0 track, and two versions of English subtitling. The extra features includea photo gallery, storyboards, production sketches, manga concept shots, a behind the scenes feature, and preproduction art. The DVD will also come bundled with the original soundtrack, and is slated to hit stores on November 4 with a retail price of $29.98.
Gen Fukunaga, president of FUNimation, has been awarded the outstanding Electrical and Computer Engineers award from Purdue University. Fukunaga is receiving this award in recognition of his entrepreneurship and success with FUNimation, which has grown from a business plan that Fukunaga himself has developed.
AIC has announced that it will be airing Battle Programmer Shiraseon October 3, 2003 on TV ShinHiroshima, TV Kanagawa, TB Saitama, Kyoto Housou, and Nagoya TV. The series will feature scripting by Eki Sakurajima, character designs by Ryuichi Makino, mecha designs by Takashi Hashimoto, art direction by Maho Takahashi, music by Toshiki Kameyaa and Nagoka Seikou, and will be produced by Atsushi Moriyama and Tomoko Kawasaki.
