Birthdays, Summer Reading, and Russian Pop Fun

Central Park Media has announced that they will be releasing the Slayers Return and Martian Successor Nadesico manga series next year. Both books will retail for $9.99 US, and will be a 5” x 7.375” in dimensions. Whether the books will read left-to-right or right-to-left is unknown at the moment. Slayers Return is slated to hit stores on March 3, 2004, while Nadesico will see release two weeks later on March 17, 2004.

Along with the latest Manga, Central Park will be releasing three DVD titles in March, as well. Arcade Gamer Fubuki, Birdy the Mighty: Double Trouble, and Cyber City: Time Bomb will all see release on March 9, 2004. Both Birdy the Mighty and Cyber City: Time Bomb will be released at price point of $19.99 US. Arcade Gamer Fubuki will be priced slightly higher than the other two at $29.99 US, and will be 140 minutes long. Information on possible extras is still unknown at the moment.

Animeigo celebrated its 15th anniversary on December 10, 2003. The North Carolina-based company holds the honor of being the oldest surviving anime translation and distribution company in America.

TOKYOPOP has announced that they will be releasing five new manga titles for next summer. Comic Party, Crest of the Stars, Deus Vitae, Immortal Rain, and Remote will all see release on June 4, 2004. For information on Crest of the Stars, we at Anime Dream have already released a review of the anime series that is based on the manga series.

ADV Films has announced the English cast list for their American release of Gonzo's Gravion. The casting order is as follows:

A new anime featuring the popular Russian duo T.A.T.U. is set to be released in Japan in November 2004. The series, which will be directed by Norio Kashima and Susume Kudoh (as well as Shinichiro Watanabe's direction on the opening), already has a website up at http://www.tatu-paragate.jp/index.html
